What Is Psychological Therapy?

Feeling stressed, anxious or depressed? Having trouble focusing at work or navigating your relationship? Psychological therapy can help.

I am an endorsed clinical psychologist specialising in mindfulness-based therapies. I combine these with other effective evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to treat a range of issues including:

  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Depression and bipolar
  • Anger
  • Eating issues
  • Addictive behaviours
  • Sleep problems
  • Academic/work performance
  • Relationship/marriage issues

How it works

I recognise that every person who comes to see me is an individual, with their own unique personality and innate strengths. Because of this, I adapt therapy specifically for everyone I work with, drawing on their innate resources – as well as evidenced-based techniques and approaches. 

Together we will quickly get to the core of your issue, set clear goals for treatment and give you practical techniques right from the first session.

The standard fee for 50 minutes is $250.

You may be eligible for a rebate of $124.50 per session from Medicare. This requires getting a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP (book a double appointment with your GP to discuss this further).

You may also wish to do one of my courses or workshops.  These will give you practical tools for improving your mental health and relationships and are an excellent adjunct to individual therapy.
